I had a bunch of bells and gears of different sizes and cuts so I needed an easy way to tell what they were without counting the teeth. I took some bearings and filled them with JB weld. Then I cut them in half and laid them in a e50 case half with a shitty old crank. This way i can slop a bell and gear in and see how they fit and spin. The new bells have needle bearings and spin so well.
